Mary J. Blige pulled double duty on “American Idol” this week, mentoring the top 13 contestants and filling in as the musical guest. The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul hit the stage on Thursday’s results show, performing her Rick Ross-assisted single “Why” for the first time on television.
