Wiz Khalifa Arrested for Weed, Posts Selfie from Jail

Wiz Khalifa was arrested early Sunday morning at an airport in Texas for weed possession.

According to TMZ, the superstar stoner was flying from El Paso to Dallas when TSA officials discovered the “green leafy substance.” He was taken into custody and turned over to local police, who determined it was marijuana.

But the “We Dem Boyz” rapper was more concerned with releasing his mixtape 28 Grams. He tweeted and posted a selfie from his jail cell.

“I wanna drop 28 Grams but they got me locced up,” he told fans. “Soon as I get out, the tapes comin out. Fucc that.”

He turned the incident into a trending topic with #FreeTrapWiz. “They’re tryna figure out how many grams I had. How ironic,” he added.

This is not the first time Khalifa has been in trouble for kush. In April 2012, he was busted for weed in Nashville, Tenn., and again in May in Winston-Salem, N.C.
