Dave Chappelle and Nas

Dave Chappelle set up shop at Radio City Music Hall for a 10-show engagement, which kicked off last week. After a surprise performance from Kanye West on Friday, the reclusive comedian brought out Nas during Monday night’s show.

Following Chappelle’s stand-up set, the hip-hop icon performed his groundbreaking debut Illmatic in its entirety with help from the Dave Chappelle Orchestra.

With just a DJ and drummer, he continued with his post-Illmatic classics including “If I Ruled the World (Imagine That),” “Hate Me Now,” and “Made You Look.”

“Epic Night,” tweeted Nas.

Chappelle will round out the week with performances from Busta Rhymes, Janelle Monáe, and Erykah Badu.

Watch Nas perform “N.Y. State of Mind” below.
