Video: Future - 'Trap Ni**as'
Future salutes the “Trap Niggas” in his latest video featuring Atlanta rap newcomers Key! and ManManSavage off his DJ Esco-assisted mixtape 56 Nights. The concept was inspired by DJ Esco’s two-month stint in a Dubai prison.
“ManMan, he plays the character of the trap ni**a in the video,” executive producer Propane tells The FADER. “21 Savage comes and picks him up and they bust a jugg. Once the second verse starts, they come right down the driveway and they walk up the steps. You see Key! standing there with his hands together, praying. But in the next shot, ManMan walks in and Key is not sitting there. Key! is playing the role of an angel, watching over the trap ni**as. It was gonna go real deep, if he had the budget to go real deep and crazy.”
Future will launch his “Monster Vs. Beast Mode” tour on May 1 before heading out with Drake on the “Jungle Tour” starting May 27.
