The Weeknd Stars in 'SNL' Promo

The Weeknd is coming to “SNL.” Ahead of his appearance on this weekend’s show, the Canadian crooner appears in a series of promos with host Amy Schumer and cast member Kate McKinnon. Abel plays it cool, but when asked about his weekend plans, he has no interest in joining McKinnon, and quickly makes up an excuse.

Before he kicks off his “Madness Fall Tour” next month, he will hit the 30 Rock stage to perform material off his chart-topping album Beauty Behind the Madness. Don’t be surprised if one of the songs he performs is “The Hills,” which remains No. 1 for a third week on the Billboard Hot 100.

This marks The Weeknd’s second appearance on “SNL.” Last year, he joined Ariana Grande to sing their duet “Love Me Harder.”
