Kanye West's 'Waves' to Premiere in Theaters

Waves is headed to the big screen. Kanye West will premiere his highly-anticipated seventh album in theaters worldwide.

The 90-minute premiere event will take place at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on release day, Feb. 11. In addition to unveiling Waves in its entirety, there will be a performance by visual artist Vanessa Beecroft, both of which will be broadcast live in select theaters.

The global premiere will also coincide with the debut of West’s Yeezy Season 3 collection during New York Fashion Week. It’s unclear if the fashion show will be part of the presentation.

Tickets will be available on Tickets.KanyeWest.com. As HipHop-N-More points out, they are already for sale at various European theaters including Germany’s Cinemaxx and Cineworld Cinemas in the U.K.

“On February 11, Kanye West presents his eagerly awaited new album Waves for the first time to the world public,” reads a message on Cinemaxx’s website.

On Sunday, Kanye revealed the tracklisting for Waves, which includes appearances from Kendrick Lamar, Ty Dolla $ign, Post Malone, Sia, and Vic Mensa.

UPDATE: Kanye has officially announced the premiere of Yeezy Season 3 and Waves at Madison Square Garden on Feb. 11. During the event, which will be screened live in select theaters worldwide, the album will be played in its entirety and there will be a performance by Vanessa Beecroft. Tickets are on sale now in select cities with more to be announced.
