Lil Wayne & 2 Chainz to Debut 'ColleGrove' on 'Tonight Show'

  /  02.12.2016

ColleGrove is coming. Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz will bring their collaborative album to “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” next week.

While their peers are at the Grammys, the rappers will take over “The Tonight Show” stage on Monday, Feb. 15, to debut “Rolls Royce Weather Everyday,” a single off ColleGrove.

This marks the first time the duo has performed material off the album, but they have worked together for years on tracks like “Duffle Bag Boy,” “Rich as Fuck,” “I Do It,” and “Yuck!”

In a 2012 interview with MTV News, Wayne explained his bond with Chainz. “That’s my best friend, that’s my homie from back in the day,” he said. “It’s almost like—I don’t wanna say it, it seem crazy when I say it, but it’s like watching your child up there. It feels too good; it’s a weird feeling.”

The pair has yet to announce a release date for ColleCrove. In December, 2 Chainz previewed the title track during the 6th Annual Street Execs Charity Concert.

ColleGrove is a reference to 2 Chainz’ hometown of College Park, Atlanta, and Weezy’s hometown of Hollygrove, New Orleans. “That will be out, probably sooner than people think,” 2 Chainz told the Rap Radar podcast last year.
