Rihanna Postpones 'ANTI World Tour' Until March

Rihanna fans will have to wait a little longer to see her on tour.

After her canceled Grammy performance, the singer has postponed her “ANTI World Tour” until next month, reports the Los Angeles Times.

The North American leg with special guest Travis Scott was set to kick off Feb. 26 in San Diego, Calif., but it will now launch March 12 in Jacksonville, Fla.

The first eight shows, including San Jose, Phoenix, Austin, Houston, Dallas, New Orleans, and Atlanta, have been rescheduled for May. Rihanna’s rep cited “production delays.”

On Monday, the “Work” singer backed out of her performance at the 58th Grammys, where she was scheduled to perform “Kiss It Better.” While Rihanna’s reps blame bronchitis, TMZ reports that Rihanna had a “meltdown” during rehearsals.

“Based on Rihanna’s examination, after Grammy rehearsal today, Rihanna’s doctor put her on vocal rest for 48 hours because she was at risk of hemorrhaging her vocal chords,” her rep said in a statement. “The antibiotics she has been on for three days did not kill the infection adequately, therefore she cannot perform safely.”

The tour, named after her platinum album ANTI, marks her first world tour since her 96-date “Diamonds World Tour” in 2013, which grossed over $140 million.

The Weeknd and Big Sean will join RiRi on the European leg, which is set to kick off June 11 in Amsterdam.
