New Music: Lil Lonnie feat. Bryson Tiller - 'Change Up'

It’s a come-up. After celebrating Trapsoul’s platinum success, Bryson Tiller joins Lil Lonnie for “Change Up,” the Mississippi MC’s latest single.

The track, off Lonnie’s forthcoming They Know What’s Going On 2, features bars about staying motivated even when times are tough, while Pen Griffey sings about his own “come-up” in the chorus.

“The song is about people changing for the fame but we’re not changing,” Lil Lonnie tells Billboard. “You know when somebody gets a little bit of money that they didn’t have before then they start acting differently? No matter now much money or fame I get, it won’t change the person that I am.”
