New Music: Vic Mensa feat. Joey Purp - '773 Freestyle'

  /  08.08.2016

Vic Mensa and Joey Purp rep Chicago on their “773 Freestyle.”

Going back and forth with potent bars about everything from fashion to police relations, the Chi-town MCs show off their bond and chemistry over a slapping instrumental provided by Papi Beatz.

“Hurt the block,” raps Vic. “Ni**as under cover servin’ cops.” Then Joey comes in: “Underpaid and under pressure, under fear of getting shot.”

Vic announced the track with a post on Instagram that warns: “SAVEMONEY SUMMER AINT OVER.”

Mensa and Purp just wrapped their “Back with a Vengeance Tour,” which featured stops in Atlanta, Brooklyn, Los Angeles, and the closing night in San Francisco.
