The Weeknd Teases 'Gritty' Video for 'False Alarm'

  /  10.12.2016

The Weeknd is up to something spooky.

On Thursday (Oct. 13), the Canadian crooner is set to premiere the cinematic and “gritty” video for “False Alarm,” the second single off his forthcoming album Starboy.

“Tomorrow … A Gritty Story,” Abel wrote on Instagram. “Parental Advisory.”

The promo poster arrives just in time for Halloween and looks like a horror movie ad. It features blood red lettering and skeleton faces under hoods with a girl’s face hidden amongst the darkness.

“False Alarm” follows the video for The Weeknd’s Daft Punk-assisted hit “Starboy,” which is currently No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. The sleek clip was directed by Grant Singer and featured the death of Abel and birth of Starboy.

While “False Alarm” comes before Halloween, Starboy the album drops on Nov. 25, Black Friday.
