Shia LaBeouf Disses Drake & Lil Yachty on Freestyle
Did Shia LaBeouf just diss Drake and Lil Yachty in a freestyle? That’s what some fans are saying after the actor-turned-rapper unleashed ferocious bars as part of “Sway in the Morning’s” “5 Fingers of Death” segment.
The thinly-veiled jabs at Drizzy came with nods to October’s Very Own and the Quentin Miller ghostwriting allegations.
“It’s trash rap in October,” raps Shia. “Who wrote what for who? It’s all so below par / Substandard / Used to be a litmus / If you didn’t write your own shit, you got dismissed.”
Meanwhile, Shia’s Lil Yachty diss might be more direct. “Where did spitters go?” he asks. “Garbage litter shit they wrote / Miss me with that Lil Boat / ‘Cause bigger individuals / Committed to these principals / Is living on they tippy-toes / Sinking with a hippy’s hope.”
Fans surprised to see Shia rapping might have to revisit his past. LaBeouf has been rapping for years with videos surfacing online from time to time.
The Transformers star also previously directed a short film for Kid Cudi’s Cage-assisted “Maniac.” Plus, his love for hip-hop goes deeper as he has tattoos of Tupac Shakur, Notorious B.I.G., and Missy Elliott.
