Beyoncé's Coachella Performance Up in the Air Following Pregnancy

  /  02.02.2017

Beyoncé’s twin pregnancy announcement was greeted with record-breaking delight, but now it’s also being met with questions about her headlining gig at Coachella.

Sources say that Goldenvoice, a subsidiary of Coachella producers AEG Live, did not know about Bey’s pregnancy until after the news went public. Insiders say that organizers are “not thrilled” about the news, given that this could be a high-risk pregnancy, according to TMZ.

Queen Bey’s first pregnancy was not an easy one. According to reports, it required bed rest. Still, it’s unclear whether the 35-year-old will face similar hurdles during this pregnancy. If all goes well, insiders in Yoncé’s camp say she will still perform at the two-weekend event.

Goldenvoice has reportedly tried but failed to get in touch with the LEMONADE superstar’s reps. They currently don’t know how far along she is or how the pregnancy will impact her scheduled sets on April 15 and April 22.

Nevertheless, the company is reportedly not worried or pressured to find a replacement headliner. One source says that won’t be hard to find if needed, due to “constant talks” with other acts.

Currently, Radiohead is slated to headline Day 1, Beyoncé is on as headliner for Day 2, and Kendrick Lamar is closing out both weekends at the Indio, Calif. event.

Coachella has not yet issued an official statement on the pregnancy.
