Video: TLC - 'Haters'

  /  06.21.2017

From “No Scrubs” to no “Haters,” TLC sends a message to naysayers in the music video for the latest single off their upcoming final album.

Following the visual for the Snoop Dogg-assisted “Way Back,” T-Boz and Chilli enlist a diverse group of people to sing about the “Haters” in their lives in front of a grey backdrop.

Sporting face paint and a green jacket, T-Boz sings about the criticism she’s faced. Meanwhile, Chilli asks fans to brush their haters away in a see-through black blouse and royal blue bra. “Haters gonna hate,” they sing. “People gon’ say what they say / We don’t care about that anyway.”

The visual also includes a call to seek more information and help through the Born This Way Foundation, which was co-founded by Lady Gaga.

“At Born This Way Foundation, we believe in telling your story – good or bad, challenging or triumphant,” reads a message on the site. “Deciding to speak openly can be hard, but it can also be a gateway to healing and a comfort to others who thought they were alone.”

The group’s crowd-funded final album TLC is set to drop June 30, marking their first album in 15 years and their first without Left Eye, who passed in 2002.

After releasing the album, TLC is heading out on the “I Love the ’90s: The Party Continues Tour,” which launches July 7 with Naughty By Nature, Biz Markie, Montell Jordan, Sugar Ray’s Mark McGrath, and more.
