Lil Wayne & Ab-Soul to Headline Paid Dues Festival
Paid Dues is back. Four years after going on an indefinite hiatus, the independent hip-hop festival is making its return.
Lil Wayne and Ab-Soul are headlining this year’s event, which is being billed as the “Los Angeles Hip-Hop Festival,” and is taking place at Pershing Square in L.A.
The fest won’t be exclusive to L.A. acts, as evidenced by Weezy’s top billing spot. Raekwon & Ghostface, Freddie Gibbs, PRhyme (DJ Premier and Royce 5’9″), Nipsey Hussle, Rapsody, and The Grouch & Eligh are also on the bill.

Aside from organizing the fest, L.A. rapper Murs will also be taking the stage as part of Mursday!, his Strange Music group that includes labelmates Mayday. More artists will be announced at a later date.
Paid Dues started as an indie hip-hop festival in Los Angeles in 2006. It was held annually for eight years, seven of those in San Bernardino, Calif., before shutting down in 2013.
