Watch the Trailer for Katy Perry & Nicki Minaj's 'Swish Swish' Video

  /  08.21.2017

Another one in the basket. Before dropping the highly-anticipated video for her Nicki Minaj-assisted “Swish Swish,” Katy Perry unveils a humorous new trailer.

Naturally, the pop songstress finds herself playing basketball in the minute-long clip, which asks viewers to “get ready for the hottest mess in history,” a b-ball game between The Sheep and The Tigers.

Backed by her coach Molly Shannon, Katy leads The Tigers against the Terry Crews-led Sheep and their captain, Thor “The Mountain” Björnsson. Hilarity ensues from there.

Perry is full of blunders during the game, getting a basketball thrown at her face and then having it stolen before throwing her hands up in the air. The video also features cameos from Jenna Ushkowitz, Gaten Matarazzo, Christine Sydelko, Bill Walton, and Rich Eisen.

Nicki Minaj stars as herself, although she doesn’t appear in the trailer. Later today, the rap superstar is also set to debut a video for her Yo Gotti and Mike WiLL Made-It collaboration “Rake It Up.”

“Swish Swish,” which appears on Perry’s latest album Witness, is rumored to be a Taylor Swift diss. “She started it,” Katy told James Corden. “It’s time for her to finish it.”

Directed by Dave Meyers, the full visual is expected to debut later this week. Perry will host and possibly perform “Swish Swish” at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, Aug. 27.
