Tory Lanez Announces Sophomore Album 'Memories Don't Die'

  /  10.05.2017

Tory Lanez is ready to walk down memory lane with his forthcoming sophomore album, Memories Don’t Die.

Although the Toronto rapper has not yet revealed a release date, the project is set to follow his 2016 debut I Told You, which opened at No. 4 on the Billboard 200.

Lanez has been sharing sporadic updates on the album’s progress this year. In June, he claimed that he went back to writing lyrics after freestyling his debut. “I forgot how nice I am with a pen and paper,” he tweeted. “WOW .. album 2 is not a fuck around ting.”

In August, he said it was finally “done” and awaiting clearances and artwork. “It’s gone be out soon!” he told fans. “And when it’s out you will appreciate every stitch of time that went into perfecting this … I promise to bring real music back.”

Lanez also teased a track called “Hate to Say” that is “4:30 seconds of me laying everything on the table,” describing it as “iconic.”

So far, Memories Don’t Die has spawned the singles “Shooters” and “Skrt Skrt.” Next up, he is set to drop his Future collaboration “Real Thing.”
