Cardi B Addresses Beyoncé Collaboration Rumors

Hot off her “Motor Sport” collaboration with Migos and Nicki Minaj, Cardi B is addressing rumors of a Beyoncé collaboration.

Earlier this week, engineer Michael Ashby posted a photo of vocals from an apparent Queen Bey and Bardi collaboration, but now, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper says she doesn’t know who Ashby is.

“I don’t know that man,” she told Billboard. “I don’t know him! I don’t even know why people are making those speculations. I don’t know that man.”

While Cardi may claim to not know Ashby, the engineer has been promoting his work with Cardi for months. In December, she appeared in a couple of his Instagram videos and he recently posted photos at a party celebrating her No. 1 single.

One collaboration that she has acknowledged is with Kehlani, who said she would be “down” for a full joint project with Bardi.

“Oh, there’s something,” teased Cardi. “We’ve been working on that. Yes, it’s so beautiful.” She later added: “I haven’t finished it, but I heard something and I was like, ‘Oh, Kehlani!’ I love her. She’s such a sweetie. Definitely.”

Cardi is also currently working on her debut album. Originally due in October, the project has been delayed indefinitely.
