New Music: Lil Uzi Vert feat. Nicki Minaj - 'The Way Life Goes (Remix)'
The wait is over. Nicki Minaj unleashes her official remix to Lil Uzi Vert’s Luv Is Rage 2 single “The Way Life Goes.”
Fresh off her Migos and Cardi B collaboration “MotorSport,” Nicki Yamaguchi (“‘Cause I skate with the ice”) comes through with another winning verse. “Been a queen for eight summers,” she raps. “I’m still shading all these ni**as, yeah that Dita way / You gotta pay me flatbread / Yeah, the pita way.”
Just last month, Nicki revealed that the track was complete, but the release was being held up. “apparently someone somewhere wants to hold back on putting it out right now,” she tweeted. “It’s not me & it’s not Uzi tho. Tea anyone?”
And there could be even more Nicki-Uzi collabos in store. When a fan asked if Uzi was on Nicki’s upcoming fourth album, she responded, “Not yet.”
Nicki continues to work on her highly-anticipated new album, her first since 2014’s The Pinkprint. She has also collaborated with Quavo on a song called “For Keeps,” which is expected to drop soon.
