Childish Gambino Performs 'Terrified' at Grammys

  /  01.28.2018

Childish Gambino lights up the Grammys.

Dressed in an all-white suit, a dapper Donald Glover took the stage on Music’s Biggest Night to perform “Terrified” from his Grammy-nominated album Awaken, My Love! on Sunday (Jan. 28).

Standing on a stage in the middle of Madison Square Garden, the multifaceted star ran through the funky track with a live band behind him and background singers all around him. Rising star JD McCrary, who is featured on the track, also showed up to lend a hand as the duo ended with a powerful vocal performance, harmonizing amid blue lights.

It was a special set because it also worked as a sign of things to come. Soon, Glover and McCrary will both play the role of Simba in the 2019 Lion King reboot, which is also set to star Beyoncé, James Earl Jones, and Seth Rogen.

Gambino is already a Grammy winner tonight. Earlier in the evening, he took home Best Traditional R&B Performance for “Redbone.”
