Kendrick Lamar curated the Black Panther soundtrack, and now he may be eyeing a role in the sequel to the Marvel blockbuster.

In an interview with BBC Radio 1, K-Dot was asked if he would appear in a future installment of the film. “I’ve got to now,” he said, before revealing his take on Erik Killmonger, the film’s multi-layered antagonist played by Michael B. Jordan.

“I really enjoy Killmonger’s character, just off the simple fact that he was a villain but he came with some real [talk],” he explained. “He was a villain but he was loved and misunderstood. So if I could, I’d play a Killmonger, for sure.”

Kung Fu Kenny went on to say that he’s proud of the work he did for the film, creating an album with music from and inspired by the critically-adored Ryan Coogler movie.

“We’re talking about timeless films and things that are going to curate after this film,” he added. “When we got to the music, I just wanted to make sure that I could complement that and be a part of [it] in the best way I could.”

Kendrick is credited as an artist on several songs from the soundtrack, but lends his vocals to many more. The album, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, also features SZA, Travis Scott, ScHoolboy Q, Future, Khalid, and more.

The movie topped the box office in its opening weekend, bringing in a whopping $241.9 million in North America over four days. It has earned over $520 million worldwide.
