Video: Diplo feat. Lil Yachty & Santigold - 'Worry No More'

  /  03.02.2018

Before dropping his highly-anticipated Lil Boat 2, Lil Yachty joins Santigold on Diplo’s “Worry No More,” a carefree, genre-bending collaboration off the Major Lazer frontman’s California EP.

Over infectious and electronic production, the Quality Control MC delivers a melodic hook that references baseball and F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. “I don’t wanna worry no more,” he sings. “I just wanna ball like the big leagues / I just want a nice house on the shore / I just want a big house like Gatsby / Catch me if you can, I’m chasing after my dreams / I wanna be the man, I wanna be the star on the scene.”

To go along with the song, the trio also served up a sweet video, shot in the back room of a pastry spot called Lots o’ Cake. Surrounded by tasty treats, Yachty Simpson and Santi make donuts, cakes, and more deliciousness, worry-free.

This isn’t the first time Yachty and Diplo have worked together. Lil Boat teamed up with the DJ/producer last year on “Forever Young” off his debut album, Teenage Emotions. The sequel, Lil Boat 2, is due March 16.

“Worry No More” follows the DRAM-assisted “Look Back” off Diplo’s California, which arrives March 23 on Mad Decent. This will be his first solo body of work in five years.
