Cardi B invades the charts.

The Bronx rapper’s debut album Invasion of Privacy opens at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 255,000 equivalent album units (103,000 traditional) in its first week.

Invasion had the biggest sales week for a hip-hop or R&B album this year and the biggest streaming week for a debut studio album ever. On top of that, the album had the largest on-demand audio streaming week for an album by a woman in the chart’s history.

Moreover, Invasion of Privacy is thus far the second-biggest album of 2018 behind Justin Timberlake’s Man of the Woods, which earned 293,000 units in February. She also nabbed the second-biggest streaming week for an album this year behind Migos’ Culture II, and the seventh-largest streaming week for an album all-time.

Cardi B is now only the fifth female rapper to top the Billboard 200. Nicki Minaj did it twice with 2011’s Pink Friday and 2012’s Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. Eve did it with 1999’s Let There Be Eve… Ruff Ryders’ First Lady; Foxy Brown did it with 1999’s Chyna Doll and 1997’s The Firm joint project with Nas, AZ, and Nature; and Lauryn Hill did it with The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.

Elsewhere on the chart, The Weeknd’s My Dear Melancholy, falls 1-3, XXXTentacion’s ? drops 3-5, Migos’ Culture II jumps 5-6, and Black Panther: The Album dives 6-7. Further down the chart, Rich the Kid’s debut The World Is Yours falls 2-8, Post Malone’s Stoney slips 8-9, and Lil Xan enters the chart at No. 10 with Total Xanarchy.
