Kanye West Calls Ebro Darden to Say 'I Love You'

  /  04.24.2018

One day after Hot 97 host Ebro Darden said he spoke with Kanye West, Yeezy phones in with a special message.

“I’m just calling to say I love you,” he told Darden over the phone and on the air. When asked if he wanted to share anything else, West simply repeated his loving statement.

Following some awkward silences, ‘Ye sang a portion of Stevie Wonder’s “I Just Called to Say I Love You.”

Darden tried to ask questions about music, but Yeezy shut that down. “We should meet up in person and then we can talk on the radio afterwards,” he said. “I just wanted to call to say I love you.”

Yesterday, Darden said he spoke with West for 30 minutes over the weekend. During their convo, Ebro claimed Kanye professed his love for President Donald Trump. He also seemed to reveal that the Chicago rapper was hospitalized over an opioid addiction.

Yeezy is now ready to release a ton of new music. He produced albums for Pusha T (May 25), Nas (June 15), and Teyana Taylor (June 22). Additionally, he’s releasing a solo album (June 1) and a Kid Cudi joint project as Kids See Ghosts (June 8).
