XXXTentacion Drops Lawsuit Against Alleged Abuse Victim

  /  05.15.2018

XXXTentacion is dropping his defamation lawsuit against the girl he’s accused of hitting because he says she changed her story.

According to TMZ, the woman who XXX was seen assaulting on camera submitted a notarized letter to his team, rescinding her previous claim that she hadn’t revealed the clip earlier as a result of being “terrified for her life.”

Her statement reads: “The video was taken years ago when Jahseh [XXX’s real name] and I were both kids and we were just joking around. I was not injured as a result of what happened nor did it negatively affect my personal life.”

XXX sued the woman for fraud and defamation, but the suit has since been dismissed. Law enforcement sources say the video is still being reviewed in connection to his pending criminal case for alleged witness tampering, but it will likely not have an impact.

The “SAD!” rapper’s management also called out “large corporations” including Spotify for removing XXX’s music from playlists based on “unproven allegations.” Last week, the rep also took Spotify to task, asking if they would remove other artists from their playlists due to allegations, including Michael Jackson, David Bowie, James Brown, Nelly, Miguel, Trey Songz, and more.
