New Music: French Montana & Remy Ma - 'New Thang'
After going “All the Way Up,” French Montana and Remy Ma reunite on “New Thang” off the Uncle Drew soundtrack. Over a funky horn-filled beat, produced by Harry Fraud, the Bronx rappers show off their chemistry once again with their boastful bars.
“Got my Carolina joint, that’s my blue thang / Got my Chinese joint, that’s my Wu-Tang,” raps French, while Remy adds, “Every other day is a new thang.”
In addition to “New Thang,” the Uncle Drew soundtrack has spawned the G-Eazy single “1942” featuring Yo Gotti and YBN Nahmir, plus A$AP Rocky, Gucci Mane, and 21 Savage’s “Cocky.”
Due June 15, the soundtrack also features contributions from Wiz Khalifa, A$AP Ferg, 2 Chainz, A$AP Ferg, GoldLink, H.E.R., Khalid, and Dipset.
Starring Kyrie Irving, Uncle Drew hits theaters June 29.
