Watch The Weeknd's Animated Video for 'Snowchild'

  /  07.22.2020

The Weeknd keeps delivering visuals off his chart-topping album After Hours.

Following the video for “Until I Bleed Out” in April, Abel takes an animated journey through his career in his latest for “Snowchild.” It starts off on the snow-covered streets of Toronto with references to his 2011 debut mixtape House of Balloons before heading to Japan for the Kiss Land era. He makes his way to Hollywood for 2015’s Beauty Behind the Madness before revisiting his Starboy phase, complete with black panthers and lit-up crosses.

After a quick homage to his 2018 EP My Dear Melancholy, he pulls into Las Vegas for his current After Hours era, donning his signature red blazer and bandaged nose.

“Snowchild” is the latest video off After Hours, which debuted at No. 1 and remains in the top 10 on the Billboard 200. Meanwhile, “Blinding Lights” is still No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100.

In the wake of the coronavirus, The Weeknd delayed his “After Hours Tour” until next year. The global trek will now kick off June 12, 2021 in Canada before traveling to the U.S. and Europe through November.
