M.I.A. is setting her protégé’s career off with a bang.

The “Paper Planes” rapper directed the video for “Bang,” the first single off 18-year-old Rye Rye’s debut album Go! Pop! Bang! The dance-heavy clip was shot at Paradox nightclub in Baltimore where Rye Rye was discovered.

“She’s amazing. I think she’s the fastest rapper out of the females in the game right now,” says M.I.A. of the first artist to be signed to her N.E.E.T. label. “She’s just got made energy. She’s a pitbull.”
