Usher and B.o.B

A veteran and a newcomer both earned No. 1s on this week’s Billboard charts.

B.o.B takes the top spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart with his debut effort B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray. Propelled by the chart-topping single “Nothin’ on You” featuring Bruno Mars, the set sold 84,000 copies in its first week. Not since Rick Ross’ Port of Miami in August 2006 has a solo male artist hit No. 1 on the chart with their debut release.

On the singles chart, Usher dethrones the Atlanta rapper with “OMG,” his first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 since “Love in This Club” in March 2008. The will.i.am production rises 6-1 in its fifth week, giving Usher the most No. 1 Hot 100 singles for an artist since 1998. His latest album Raymond vs. Raymond drops 5-6 with 48,000 units moved in its fifth week.
