Eminem's 'Recovery' Goes for Gold

Recovery

The music industry is about to have its best month this year. After Drake’s big debut, the charts are preparing for Eminem’s takeover next week.

The rapper’s seventh studio album Recovery is a shoe-in for No. 1 on next week’s Billboard 200. HITS Daily Double reports preliminary first-week sales of 590-615,000, based on early figures. This would give Em the year’s highest debut, besting Sade and Lady Antebellum, and possibly outdo last year’s Relapse, which opened with 608,000 in May.

Em is not only ruling the albums chart. Shady tops iTunes with his Rihanna collaboration “Love the Way You Lie,” while the Lil Wayne-assisted “No Love” currently sits at No. 9.
