Jay-Z Merchandise to be Sold at Yankee Stadium

Jay-Z

Jay-Z is a devout Yankee fan, no question. Check the lyrics from “Empire State of Mind” (“I made the Yankee hat more famous than a Yankee can”), “Do It Again” (“Who could it be? With that new blue Yankee on, who but me?”), or “Put On (Remix)” (“So when I’m dead and gone, I got one last wish, put my Yankee hat on”). For years the Brooklyn native has traveled to the Bronx to check out his beloved team at Yankee stadium, so it comes as no surprise that the house he’s often frequented would return the love by selling merchandise bearing his name.

The hip-hop mogul has teamed with the baseball franchise to create a custom line of Jay-Z branded New York Yankee hats, t-shirts, and hooded sweatshirts that will go on sale Monday (Aug. 30). Yankee Stadium will be the exclusive seller of all merchandise, which features items for both men and women. The co-branded line is produced by companies Majestic and New Era 59/50.

Fans can purchase the items, emblazoned with the album logo from Jay-Z’s The Blueprint 3, during the rapper’s upcoming concert at Yankee Stadium on September 13 and September 14, where he will be co-headlining alongside Eminem. The signature line was created to commemorate this event, which is the first official concert at the venue.
