After previewing a snippet last month, Ed Sheeran debuted his full cover of Beyoncé’s “Drunk in Love.” With guitar in hand, the red-haired crooner performed an acoustic version of Bey’s hit during his visit to Z100’s “Elvis Duran and the Morning Show” (via Billboard).

His second album x (read multiply), due June 23, shares the same title as Chris Brown’s long-awaited album. “We’re going to have a showdown,” said Ed. “I’m not gonna win. That guy’s stacked. He’s got muscles.”

The follow-up to 2011’s + features contributions from Rick Rubin and Pharrell, who produced the lead single “Sing.”

“I made that song by accident,” said Ed. “When I released this, everyone had an opinion. They were talking about it and they could say they hated it, they could say they loved it, but they were talking about it.”

Check out Ed’s stripped-down take on “Drunk in Love” below.
