A$AP Rocky has a big summer ahead. In addition to releasing his sophomore album At.Long.Last.A$AP on May 12, the Harlem rapper is set to make his big-screen debut in Dope.

Rick Famuyiwa’s urban coming-of-age dramedy, which sold for $7 million at the Sundance Film Festival, centers around the story of a high school geek/hip-hop fan (Shameik Moore) who tries to survive in the rough neighborhood of Inglewood, Calif., while juggling college applications, academic interviews, and the SAT.

But when a huge stash of drugs winds up in his backpack, he sets out on a new adventure that could having him going from geek to dope.

Rocky plays a drug dealer named Dom, while Tyga, Vince Staples, Casey Veggies, and Diddy’s son Quincy Brown make cameos. Forest Whitaker narrates the film, which also stars Lenny Kravitz’s daughter Zoë Kravitz.

The soundtrack features four new songs from Pharrell Williams, who also serves as executive producer alongside Diddy.

Dope opens in theaters on June 19. Watch Pretty Flacko get his acting on in the trailer below.
