Mariah Carey Arrives at Caesars Palace for Las Vegas Residency
Caesars Palace rolled out the red carpet for Mariah Carey as she arrived in Las Vegas for her “Mariah #1 to Infinity” residency. Following mobile billboards that listed each of her 18 No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 singles, she rolled up to the casino (fashionably late, of course) in a vintage pink convertible.
Mimi, dressed in a sparkly nude-colored dress, was greeted by gladiators and dancers before being carried through the casino by four centurions while her new single “Infinity” played on the loudspeaker.
“Hey Lambily!” she said. “Thank you for this beautiful welcome. This is great! I feel very welcomed here at Caesars.”
Mariah, who follows former Caesars headliners including Celine Dion, Elton John, and Cher, also thanked her fans and the executives at Caesars and AEG for the warm welcome.
“Thank you everybody for coming here today to experience this moment. I will never forget it for as long as I live,” she said. “There’s a new girl in town. You’ll be seeing me walking around.”
The press event concluded with confetti as Mariah sang along to the lyric video for “Infinity.”
Her 18-show stint at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace kicks off May 6 and continues through July 26.
