Video: French Montana - 'Wave Gods Intro'

  /  04.13.2016

Waves don’t die. Fresh off last week’s release of his “Old Man Wildin'” video, French Montana unleashes the visual for the Chris Brown-assisted “Wave Gods Intro” off February’s Wave Gods mixtape.

In the Spiff TV-directed clip, premiered by The FADER, the Coke Boy rhymes about Diddy’s guidance and Chinx’s passing.

“It has a special vibe to it,” explained French. “It’s deep. I think it means a lot to all the fans who understand the wave and that’s why it’s special.”

The video, which doesn’t actually include an appearance from Breezy, was filmed in Dubai. It shifts from the sight of French on his dune buggy to scenes inside of a lavish home where champagne flows freely. In between all of that, there’s also time for prayer.

“As soon as we started shooting we heard the call to prayer,” he explained. “It felt good because everything I’m talking about in the song is personal and emotional to me and it meant a lot to be able have that moment.”
