New Music: Miguel - 'How Many'

  /  07.08.2016

“I cannot stay silent,” says Miguel on his latest song “How Many.”

Created and released in the wake of multiple police-related shootings this week, the Wildheart singer reveals deep frustration on the powerful track.

“How many black lives?” he asks. “How many heartbeats turned into flatlines / How many black lives does it take to wake a change?”

The song isn’t finished, according to Miguel. “This version was started (written/recorded) here in London in my hotel room between the hours of 4am and around 7am when i passed out,” he wrote on SoundCloud. “ill update this song every week until its complete.”

Late last month, Miguel released “Come Through and Chill.” On Sept. 29, he is set to embark on the “Nostalgic for the Present Tour” with Sia.
