Drake Wants to 'Push the Boundaries' on 'Views From the 6'

  /  02.18.2016

The 6 God is coming. While Drake has remained tight-lipped about his highly-anticipated album Views From the 6, his longtime producer Noah “40” Shebib says that fans should expect the Drizzy they know and love.

“It’s going to be what everybody expects and wants from Drake and from us,” Shebib told The New York Times. “A lot of introspection, very vivid. He’s discovering new flows, new cadences, new patterns.”

While it might be what fans expect and want from the “Summer Sixteen” rapper, listeners should also gear up for some “untraditional sounds,” according to Shebib, who’s worked with Drizzy since before his 2009 breakthrough mixtape So Far Gone.

“I’m trying to find ways to pull more untraditional sounds in, to push the boundaries a little further,” he said. “Something about it should be special.”

That might include some assistance from Yeezy. Earlier today, Kanye West revealed that he’s been working with Drake and his What a Time to be Alive partner, Future. “We all got new shit together that’s gonna drop soon,” said West. However, it’s unclear when or where that material will surface.

With billboards all over Toronto, Views has been heavily promoted as its April release date looms.
