Justin Timberlake, Donald Glover, & Pharrell Nominated for Golden Globes

The Golden Globes nominations are in and musicians including Pharrell Williams, Donald Glover, and Justin Timberlake are up for some of the biggest awards.

Nominees for the 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards were announced on Monday (Dec. 12) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel with Don Cheadle, Laura Dern, and Anna Kendrick on-hand for the big reveals.

Pharrell Williams is up for Best Original Score – Motion Picture for his work with Hans Zimmer and Benjamin Wallfisch on Hidden Figures.

Fresh off his Critics’ Choice win for Best Actor in a Comedy Series, Donald Glover scores a nod for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for his work on “Atlanta.” The show itself is also nominated for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy, battling “Black-ish,” “Mozart in the Jungle,” “Transparent,” and “Veep.”

Justin Timberlake’s Trolls single “Can’t Stop the Feeling” earned a nomination for Best Original Song – Motion Picture. Clearly, JT was excited about the nod. “Woke up to a @goldenglobes nom,” he tweeted. “And then played hide and seek with my son before breakfast! Double win!Thank you, HFPA!!!

Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop” is up against Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone’s “City of Stars” from La La Land, Ariana Grande and Stevie Wonder’s “Faith” from Sing, Iggy Pop and Danger Mouse’s “Gold” from Gold, and Alessia Cara’s “How Far I’ll Go” from Moana. The latter was written by Hamilton‘s Lin-Manuel Miranda, who also tweeted about the nomination. “Bit of a day,” he wrote. “Bit of a day, bit of a day!”
