New Music: Rick Ross - 'Jumping Ship'

  /  09.01.2017

Splash! Following collaborations with Fergie, Action Bronson, and Sammie, Rick Ross heads out to sea on “Jumping Ship.”

Over production by Reazy and Sam Sneak, Renzel explains why he’s the captain. “She got a pretty smile and got an ass,” he raps. “Diddy, shoutout, I got Ciroc all in my glass / You deserve a ni**a with a yacht / Fat ni**a with a lot.”

Some believe the song’s title and its timing are “shade” towards Meek Mill, who recently performed “Dreams and Nightmares” with 50 Cent by his side. After the performance, Rozay tweeted lyrics from “No U-Turns.” “When you switch sides, you better stay there.”

Still, it’s unclear if any of these incidents are related. Taking to Twitter, Rozay revealed why he dropped the new heater: “Sometimes you gotta drop new 🔥 on’m….”
