Donald Glover Thanks Migos for 'Bad and Boujee' at Golden Globes

Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino celebrated raindrops and drop tops at the Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills on Sunday (Jan. 8), where he took home two trophies.

During his acceptance speech for “Atlanta’s” win in the Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy category, the actor-rapper honored Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff.

“I really wanna thank the Migos, not for being in the show, but for making ‘Bad and Boujee,'” he said. “That’s the best song ever.”

The ATL trio, who guest starred on the FX series, gave props right back to Glover. “Thank You Donald Glover,” they tweeted, before plugging the Jan. 27 release of their new album Culture.

Backstage, the praise continued. “I think they’re the Beatles of this generation and I don’t think they get a lot of respect beyond Atlanta,” said Glover. “There’s a generation of kids that are growing up on something that’s completely separate from a whole group of people. That song [‘Bad and Boujee’] is just fly. There’s no better song to have sex to.”

Sporting a brown velvet Gucci suit, Glover also took home the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy.

During the latter acceptance speech, Glover shed light on why he believes that nearly anything is possible. “My dad used to tell me every day, ‘You can do anything you want,'” he said. “And I remember thinking as a kid in first grade, ‘You’re lying to me.’ But now I do stuff, and he’s like,”I didn’t think that was possible.'”
