The Weeknd Reveals 'Starboy' Comic Book
Look what he’s done. After teasing a Marvel collaboration, The Weeknd has officially revealed his Starboy comic book, set to arrive next year.
The XO boss popped up at New York’s Comic-Con in Manhattan, where he signed autographs at the Marvel Booth in Javitz Center, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Abel Tesfaye, complete with his newest trademark hairstyle, appears as “Starboy” on the Vol. 1, Issue 1 cover. With a fierce but calm grimace on his face, the singer has magenta rays emanating from his bandaged right arm.

The Weeknd has hinted at a Starboy-inspired comic book since last November, when he spoke about it with Beats 1. “Starboy is the next chapter in this chronicle, this saga,” he said. “I guess this is the fourth chapter. He’s a character that we created. It’s so funny, we want to create a comic out of him as well.”
During the interview, Abel also revealed some of the qualities that comprise the Starboy character. “He’s a cool, dope character that makes appearances a lot on the album,” he added. “He’s definitely made his appearance in different records in the past as well. He’s a more braggadocios character that we all have inside of us.”
Marvel has linked up with musicians before. Over the past few years, they created hip-hop cover-inspired artwork and more recently, they teamed up with The Black Eyed Peas for Masters of the Sun — The Zombie Chronicles.
