Video: A$AP Ferg - 'Plain Jane'
A$AP Ferg takes fans on a psychedelic ride through New York in the video for “Plain Jane.”
Riding bicycles, popping wheelies, and rhyming in front of a project building, the Trap Lord delivers the Hidji-directed clip, which includes cameos from Rihanna, DRAM, Kirk Knight, and cyclist Nigel Sylvester.
The grainy visual also includes guerrilla footage of Ferg on various nighttime adventures. While neon and grainy special effects flash across the screen, the rapper can be seen roaming the streets or having a blast inside of a club, all while rhyming along to the Three 6 Mafia-inspired single.
Ferg beamed about the clip in a statement. “The vision for the video was to bring it back to the streets and to be with the people,” he explained. “We shot the video spontaneously without planning which made everything feel more personal and true to me. I wanted the video to match my lifestyle; I could be riding bikes in Harlem or turning up at a party in Brooklyn.”
“Plain Jane” is a single off Ferg’s Still Striving mixtape, which arrived earlier this year. Watch him ride through NY with all of his friends in the AWGE visual below.
