New Music: Eminem feat. Kehlani - 'Nowhere Fast (Extended Version)'

  /  03.17.2018

Shortly after performing “Nowhere Fast” with Kehlani at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, Eminem debuts the extended version of his Revival single.

Backed by Lani Tsunami’s chorus, Slim Shady adds a powerful verse about gun violence to the start of the song, which features violins and orchestral sounds to accompany references to school shootings.

“Sandy Hook, Stoneman Douglas,” he raps. “Another lonewolf gunman / Sometimes, I don’t know what this world has come to / It’s blowin’ up and this whole country is goin’ nuts / And the NRA is in our way / They’re responsible for this whole production / They hold the strings to control the puppets.”

The Rock Mafia and Hit-Boy-produced track’s political tone shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise, since Em didn’t shy away from controversial topics on his newest album, Revival.

“I’m not worried about whether people like what I say politically,” he shared shortly after releasing the LP. “I just want to know they’re listening. As long as I have people’s ears, I have to say what I think is right.”
