6ix9ine is maintaining his innocence.

During his appearance in court on Monday (Nov. 26), the “FEFE” rapper appeared before a judge and entered a not guilty plea in his federal racketeering case.

Tekashi, who has been in jail since Nov. 18, has received a trial date of Sept. 4. According to TMZ, he will remain behind bars for most, if not all, of that period.

Tekashi’s attorney, Lance Lazzaro, plans to seek bail from the trial judge. He was denied bail when Lazzaro offered to pay $750,000, surrender his passport, and remain on house arrest.

The 22-year-old rapper and three former associates were arrested and indicted on six federal charges, including racketeering and discharging a firearm while committing a crime, which carries a max sentence of life in prison. He is accused of committing armed robberies, drug deals, and shootings. While he awaits his hearing, he has been transferred to a new detention center due to “security reasons.”

Meanwhile, 6ix9ine’s album Dummy Boy leaked over the weekend. The project, which was originally due Nov. 23, momentarily appeared on the rapper’s website. The album, which features Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, and Tory Lanez, has been delayed until further notice.
