H.E.R. Performs 'As I Am' on 'Ellen'
Hot off her double Grammy wins, H.E.R. brought her winning talents to daytime television.
During her appearance on Tuesday’s episode of “Ellen,” the R&B darling performed “As I Am” off last August’s EP I Used to Know Her: The Prelude. Playing a white guitar and donning her signature shades, she showed off her soulful vocals that earned her two Grammys on Sunday night, including Best R&B Album and Best R&B Performance.
While her speech was cut short during the live telecast, Ellen gave her an opportunity to finish. “I actually really wanted to thank you, Ellen. You were at the end of my speech,” joked H.E.R.
The multi-talented songstress, who will play Coachella in April, also took to Instagram to reflect on the big day. “HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!! NO WORDS!!!!!!!” she wrote. “The moment i shared with my family when they made the announcement, was so special. Thank you to everyone who has been there since day one! And all my amazing fans that continue to come to my shows and put people on to my music.”
