6ix9ine Under Investigation in Chief Keef Shooting

6ix9ine is a person of interest in the attempted shooting of Chief Keef.

According to TMZ, the NYPD is looking into whether Tekashi has any connection to the two men who shot at Keef outside the W Hotel in Times Square earlier this month. 6ix9ine was in L.A. at the time of the shooting, but cops are investigating whether he ordered the hit.

Based on surveillance video, the NYPD has two suspects, who reportedly stalked Keef the night of the shooting. They first followed the Chicago rapper to China Chalet restaurant and then got into a Ford Econovan.

The suspects drove to midtown, parked the van around the block from the W, and waited for Keef at the hotel. When the rapper walked outside with a friend to smoke a cigarette, the suspects opened fire.

The shooters missed, hitting only a nearby sign, before fleeing in a van. Cops eventually discovered the van in Brooklyn.

For his part, Tekashi has denied any involvement.
