  /  06.03.2019

It’s finally here.

On Monday, Beyoncé shared the first trailer of herself as Nala in Disney’s The Lion King. In the 30-second clip, which she posted on her YouTube account, Queen Bey narrates the voice of the lioness in Jon Favreau’s live-action reboot of the animated classic.

“Simba, you have to take your place as king,” says Nala. “We need you. Come home.”

The star-studded cast also includes Donald Glover (Simba), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Scar), Billy Eichner (Timon), Seth Rogen (Pumbaa), Alfre Woodard (Sarabi), and James Earl Jones (Mufasa).

The first trailer for The Lion King was released on Thanksgiving, but Beyoncé’s voice has been kept under wraps until now. The original film was released in 1994 and grossed more than $968 million worldwide.

Over the weekend, Beyoncé channeled her character Nala while attending The Lion King-inspired Wearable Art Gala, hosted by her mother Tina Knowles Lawson.

The Lion King opens in theaters July 19.
