The fight for justice continues.

Meek Mill explores his transformation from chart-topping rapper to the face of criminal justice reform in his Amazon Original documentary series Free Meek. In the official trailer, the Philadelphia rapper chronicles his 2017 arrest for probation violations and how it inspired his fight for justice reform. The clip highlights the investigation of his original case and allegations of police corruption, leading to the birth of the #FREEMEEK movement.

“I just thought it was real life for a black kid in America,” says Meek, adding, “I decided to use my platform to help others who don’t have a voice.”

The series also includes commentary from Van Jones and JAY-Z, who serves as executive producer. “This guy got locked up at 19 and been on probation for 11 years,” says the Roc Nation boss.

Free Meek premieres Aug. 9 on on Prime Video. Watch the trailer below.
