JoJo Drops Coronavirus-Inspired Remix to 'Leave (Get Out)'

  /  03.19.2020

JoJo is giving her classic a remix for the times.

The singer has reworked her 2004 debut single “Leave (Get Out)” and flipped the lyrics in light of the coronavirus pandemic. On the aptly-tiled “Chill (Stay In),” she encourages everyone to stay safe by practicing social distancing.

While snapping her fingers and pounding on a table, JoJo belted out the reworked lyrics a cappella while her mother provided ad libs. “I never thought corona could be such a nasty bitch / But now that she’s here, boy, all I want is for you to use common sense,” she sings. “Stay in! Right now! Do it for humanity!”

She posted a preview of the track on TikTok last night before debuting the full version today.

Just last week, JoJo dropped her empowering new single “Man” off her upcoming album good to know, due May 1. She will also hit the road on a worldwide tour, which is currently set to kick off April 21 in Seattle.
