Charles Hamilton is not your typical rapper. For starters, the Cleveland-born MC loves the color pink, his favorite video game character is Sonic the Hedgehog, he blogs daily, and his third cousin is MC Lyte.
The 20-year-old is already a fixture on the Internet with a series of mixtapes including his self-produced Outside Looking hosted by DJ Green Lantern. Interscope Records’ newest signee produces and writes his own music and plays multiple instruments. A popular YouTube video shows him freestyling alongside Kanye West and The Game at the Record Plant in Hollywood.
With a debut album scheduled for release in early 2009 and superstar fans including Eminem and Pharrell, Charles Hamilton is poised to become the next big thing. Watch his video for “November 10th” below and check out his blog.
